Czech PPP Forum 2008 Has A Municipal And Regional Focus

bids_logo%20red%20tunnel.gif As the biggest gathering of regeneration professionals from both public and private sectors, the 5th Czech Public Private Partnership (PPP) Forum, organised by B.I.D. services, will focus on critical emerging issues around Municipality and Region.

Where and when
The Forum will be held on Wednesday 18th –and Thursday 19th June 2008, in the Hotel Diplomat, Prague, Czech Republic. It will be followed by a workshop on PPP project development on 20th June

New developments in existing PPP projects, both in Czech and other European countries, will be discussed, as well as changes in legislation, political support and influence, procurement trends, etc.

Focus on municipality and region
The main focus of this year´s PPP Forum however is the municipal and regional PPP market, where the majority of future PPP projects are envisaged.

Municipalities are visibly more flexible and their need for faster development is critical in CEE territory, where PPP/PFI can find the way forward with less pain.

Emerging programmes
Numerous municipal projects are emerging already, and more will follow (many of them will be presented at the Conference). Also new innovative ways of financing will be described, namely combining EU funds and PPP, as well as EIB, EBRD and EU joint initiatives JASPERS and JESSICA.

Come in June to Prague and benefit from unrivalled networking opportunity in the Czech and CEE boosting PPP market.

PPP Project Development Workshop
How to develop PPP project properly

This workshop is primarily intended for municipalities and public sector representatives, who want to learn how the PPP projects are started, developed, communicated, procured, negotiated, controlled and evaluated or rebased.

There is not an unlimited amount of project types. Whatever complex and difficult your project can be, there is only a limited number of particular situations, and the final project solution is just a combination of properly chosen (and preferably formerly tested) components. Of course, the final mixture can be wrong…

Lenka Krutáková, Wolf Theiss, Prague
Jan Kincl, Facility Ltd.
