Jim Greenhalf

Prague%20-%20Jim%20Greenhalf.jpgAfter failing professional football trials with West Ham United and Leyton Orient, Jim Greenhalf wandered about England working at an array of jobs, including a couple of years on adventure playgrounds in East London and in warehouses in London, Newcastle and Stevenage.

At the late age of 28 Jim was offered a job as a staff writer on Bradford's Telegraph & Argus newspaper, where he has gained top national awards for feature writing and as a columnist.

Jim has also written two books of local history and biography both of which have regeneration as a major theme. His dozen or so books of non-fiction and fiction include six of poetry from which he has read at venues in Bradford, Manchester, London and Prague.

Jim Greenhalf has achieved some 13,000 sales of his books. He continues to write and hopes his increasing connection with Prague will offer another dimension to his already wide appreciation of the complexities and potential of the regeneration process.

Other books by Jim Greenhalf include:

It's a Mean Old Scene: A History of Modern Bradford Since 1974

Blue on Blue

In the Hinterland

The Unliklihood of Intimacy in the Next Six Hours

Father Jim and Other Stories

As a writer Jim Greenhalf reserves the right to comment and criticise as he feels appropriate, which David Scougall endorses.
